I haven't had time to pull my thoughts together, but until then, I'll leave you with this treat. I posted on wedding music hoping that someone would send me a Klezmer wedding march, and, Internet, you didn't fail me. Here it is, thanks to a lovely reader: the wedding march by Klezmer fiddler Alicia Svigals, more perfect for me then you could ever imagine.
Now, if anyone knows a cool affordable Klezmer fiddler in Northern California, please let me know.

Ah, that's fantastic. Isn't the internet amazing?
Welcome back :)
You could always ask the folks at Ashkenaz in Berkeley for a musician recommendation (http://www.ashkenaz.com/). My boyfriend's dad and stepmom met while dancing there, and I think they had Klemzer at their wedding (or maybe it was just Balkan dancing?).
funny... I have a good friend from college who is from Oakland (but, sadly, now lives in NYC, after several years in Romania!)who is totally a kickass Jewish fiddler! She mostly does jazz but has done her fair share of awesome klezmer as well... Man, I even feel like you guys should know each other some how. I wish she wasn't so far :(
I second Ashkenaz, or check out the sweet stylings of the Shtetlblasters (they are awesome, but expensive) to see if you can hire one of them away or get a fiddler recommendation for your wedding.
Hope the weather was lovely at the Dunes!!
Welcome back!! I actually met Alicia S. a few years ago and wrote to her to ask about playing at our wedding... but alas, they were WAY out of our budget even without traveling. :-( She is ***so*** incredible. I bet if you contacted her through her website, she would have plenty of recommendations in CA!
